Emma Posey Joins American Moment as Coalitions Manager

Emma has a proven track record in research, policy studies, leadership, and a knack for connecting with people. Emma exhibits the leadership, organization, and creative problem-solving skills necessary to spread American Moment’s values.Born in Cordele, GA, she was born and raised in the same small agricultural community where she developed a strong interest in civic virtue, community development, localism, and social capital facilitation among low-income families. As a graduate of Lee University, she earned a double major in Political Science and Biblical & Theological Studies and received the F.J. Lee award given to the most outstanding senior on the basis of academic excellence, leadership, integrity, and broad campus involvement.

Emma is deeply interested in conversations surrounding marriage & family structure studies, religion, and cultural engagement within the realms of public policy and conservative political discourse. This is exemplified by her experience as an Intercollegiate Studies Institute Honors Fellow, an American Enterprise Institute Initiative on Faith and Public Life Young Scholars Award, The Heritage Foundation’s inaugural Academy Fellowship, and more. Through AEI’s research grant, Emma conducted an in-depth policy analysis of child support policy in the state of Tennessee which utilized the insights from semi-structured interviews with non-custodial fathers with child support orders.
