Nick Solheim is the Chief Executive Officer of American Moment and host of the Moment of Truth podcast. He co-founded American Moment in 2021, and is a seasoned executive at start-ups and public policy organizations. Prior to founding American Moment, Nick was the Founder and President of The Wallace Institute for Arctic Security, and the Director of Business Development in the Washington, DC office of Nativ3, a web and application development company. He is married to Evie, has two children, and lives in Wild and Wonderful West Virginia. 

Jake Mercier is the Chief Strategy Officer of American Moment. He co-founded American Moment in 2021 and works to steer its long-term vision. He oversees American Moment’s programming, online Study Guides, communications, content production, social media, merchandise, and material design. Jake got his start in media, working at The Daily Caller and HillTV, where he wrote for Rising with Krystal Ball and Saagar Enjeti. Jake was a strategist on Tulsi Gabbard’s 2020 presidential campaign. He is married to Natalia and splits his time between New York City and Washington, D.C. 

Haviva Rubenfeld is the Director of Operations at American Moment. She began working with the organization in August 2023 as an Operations Associate while completing her degree at Florida State University. Haviva leads fellowship programming and event planning initiatives, while also contributing to the company’s financial management. She will graduate Magna Cum Laude in May 2025 with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a minor in Economics, and will transition to her full-time role at American Moment in June 2025, based in D.C.

Hunter Smith is a Programs Associate for American Moment. Since launch in 2021, he has worked developing American Moments’ CRM and engagement funnels, as well managing their paid digital outreach and serving as a marketing strategist. He has been immersed in political marketing for nearly a decade, running digital fundraising and creative messaging for multiple gubernatorial, senate, and congressional campaigns as the lead Digital Strategist for NATIV3 and then Marketing Director at Proverbs Media Group. He is married to Erynn and lives in St. Paul, Minnesota. 

Saurabh Sharma is a Co-Founder of American Moment, and served as President since the organization’s founding until his departure in 2025 to serve in the Trump administration. The former Chairman of Young Conservatives of Texas and a nationally recognized activist, Saurabh is a proven talent at organizing and inspiring young conservatives to impact public policy. He has lived across the country, from Lexington to Seattle and Austin to Washington D.C., where he now resides. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 2019.
