WASHINGTON, D.C., Jan. 20, 2025—American Moment, a nonprofit dedicated to identifying, educating, and credentialing young talent, today announced that Nick Solheim has been named Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Nick Solheim has been the Co-Founder and Chief Operations Officer of American Moment since its launch in 2021.

“I am proud of everything American Moment has accomplished since its inception and look forward to everything we will accomplish moving forward,” Solheim said. “It’s an honor to be named CEO and continue working with our amazing team and partner organizations to create a cavalry of young conservative talent.”

“Nick has helped to grow American Moment from its inception, as a co-founder and Chief Operations Officer,” American Moment board member Theo Wold said. “Now, as CEO, he will continue his tireless work to ensure that the best and brightest young people of the New Right have the professional and educational foundation to seize this generational transfer of power and grow into the leaders our nation requires. Nick has the vision and the humility to do this essential work exceptionally well.”

Solheim has seven years of senior management experience, including as the business development officer of Minneapolis-based digital agency Nativ3. A passionate student of history and foreign policy, Solheim founded the Wallace Institute for Arctic Security in 2019. Before that, Solheim worked in state and local politics in his home state of Minnesota. In addition, Solheim was selected as a 2021 Haggerty Richardson Fellow by the Conservative Partnership Institute and a 2024 Cotton Mather Fellow by American Reformer. His work has been featured in POLITICO, Fox News, The New York Times, Newsweek, The American Conservative, The Blaze, and many other outlets.
