Ahead of Five-Year Anniversary, American Moment Releases New Video Highlighting Pipeline of Talent

WASHINGTON, D.C., January 20, 2026 — American Moment today released a new video highlighting the work the organization has done since the President’s inauguration on January 20, 2025, and ahead of its five-year anniversary next month.

The video showcases American Moment’s four flagship programs — Foundations, Fellowship, Frontiers, and AMFridays — and features leaders, alumni, and senior officials describing the stakes of building a bench of staff in Washington that put American interests first.

“The biggest problem with the staff in the President’s first term is that they were, by and large, not aligned with the President’s America first agenda,” American Moment CEO Nick Solheim says in the video. “What we exist to do… is to identify, educate, and credential the next generation of America First staff that can move our policy priorities forward.”

American Moment’s Fellowship for American Statecraft, the organization’s signature program, places Fellows into roles on Capitol Hill and in the administration while providing intensive Friday programming focused on policy, professional training, and network-building.

“On day one, we have you placed in a job position… whether it’s on the Hill or in the administration,” said Haviva Rubenfeld, American Moment’s Director of Operations. “You work in that job for three months… and on Fridays, you’re with us taking part in all-day educational programming.”

The video also features testimonies from Fellows and partners describing American Moment’s approach as uniquely focused on results, recruiting talent from across the country, and turning it into governing capacity.

“It’s absolutely critical that you have aligned and competent staff in these key national security and foreign policy agencies,” said Dan Caldwell, Senior Fellow for Foreign Policy, in the video.

American Moment leaders and alumni also describe the organization’s mission: building a community of staff who can serve and govern effectively together.

“If you want to win this fight, the country is not going to be saved by people who are depressed and have given up,” said Vice President JD Vance in the video, who was on American Moment’s Founding Board of Advisors. “It’s going to be saved by people who believe in the future.”
